Cross-country skiing 1:50:00 [1] 18.0 km (6:07 / km)

Was going to MSM to tele, but decided to classic from Obrien with Lampi and wow, what an awesome ski! Cold fresh snow so easy to wax, amazing grooming, fun classic trail, good times!

And then went to Fresh Air and bought RCS Zero for $99 which is an incredible sale.

Running 35:00 [1]

Wee river run with Farley.

Cross-country skiing 1:30:00 [3]

Wow, pretty amazing day of skiing. P7 up on Ridge. Saw Megan, Karl and Riel at Gossip, Megan skied with me until Huron and then headed back. She reminded me there's a WC in Quebec in March, I think I'll go watch that.

Also, radio had Big Country, XTC, B52s and the Bangles for the drive home!

Running 56:00 [1]

Late afternoon run to wake up.

Cross-country skiing 1:30:00 [3]

Pretty amazing day for a ski. P7 to Champlain Lookout, on Ridge and then back, Burma, Parkway, Ridge back.

Need to rewax as bases are getting a bit white although not like I'm in Hammer territory or anything.

Cross-country skiing 1:00:00 [2]

Ski in the dark. Should really wear a headlamp. Beer afterwards at Karl and Megans. Interesting chatting with Megan about coaches she's had.

Cross-country skiing 1:00:00 [1]

Missed skiing with karl and Megan, so just went for a skate. Amazing day out there, nice and fast, chilly wind but great conditions.

Sunday Feb 16, 2020 #

Cross-country skiing 45:00 [1]

Skiing around and then feeding Karl and Eva for the Gatineau Loppet.

Cross-country skiing 1:15:00 [2]

Classic ski from P7.

I keep forgetting how hard I find classic. It is just not a natural thing and I feel like I'm just working too hard. It is probably 90% skiing with too straight of legs.

At least I can skate tomorrow when I'm feeding King Karl for the Keski. Very heavy elite French feel to the race.

Note

Submitted Orienteering Canada Hall of Fame forms tonight. There are many, many who deserve this, but given this is the first public request for nominations I went with:
Tedro
Pam James
Earle Phillips
Malcolm Adams

Ted will obviously be the first to receive the Order of Orienteering Canada, or possibly Sass Peepre. I'm sure many others had nominated him, however, in the words of Bill James, when making a list, why start in the middle.

Cross-country skiing 45:00 [2]

Ski from P7. What a week, got back from Toronto last night at 2am as the Via train was cancelled so took the Greyhound. Just dead skiing, slow snow, but was good to be out.

Running warm up/down 10:00 [3]

Warm-up with Emma. Discussed how unwise it is to consider going from undergrad straight into grad school without taking at least a year off.

Orienteering Race race 39:00 [4]

Hammerfest running around the snowy streets of Ancaster. Totally confused early and missed the opportunity to go north because forgot could do dogbones from either end. Dumb!

But fun stuff to be running. Outstanding map of course.

Not a great stretch for traininig to say the least.

Run in the Westdale trails. Saw 6 deer.
