Note

Hard to train when you get home at 10:30pm. Must sleep more.

Looks like I was wrong about Nakkertok having a 1000. Sounds like it's more like 1400.

If I was the Vice President of Common Sense for OUSA, one of the first things I'd do is make sure there is a quick reply to the question of how many members OUSA have.

Cross-country skiing (skating) 1:35:00 [1]

Wicked ski with PL, KK, Duncan, CBH. Started from P7 and went along Ridge. Very good conditions, a wee bit chilly at the start. Super sunny.

Skis need stone-grinding sooner or later.

Running 55:00 [2]

Evening run on a really chilly night with Edmonton running celeb Brian Torrance who's in town for meetings. Lots of good stories followed by food/drink at Chez Lucien.

Cross-country skiing (Skating) 1:05:00 [3]

Had a brutal sleep with a really sore throat and cough so decided not to race. Was a perfect day for the Gloppet, but no dice for me.

Second year in a row with a crash at the finish around last corner. Also they really need to do something with the elite women's start too.

Hopefully the point-to-point is on its way.

Note

I accidently scored a bib to do the 30km Gloppet on Sunday. I will regret this.

Today I met another World Orienteering Champion which I think brings my list to four.

Now guess who without checking results.

Cross-country skiing (classic) 2:30:00 [2]

Decent classic ski with Jake and Sarah. Snow was crazy mega abrasive so it was a lot of arms only whether than was the right technique or not. First day with the new classic poles, but sadly, didn't have the "oh my god these poles feel light!" that I remembered from the past.

Very chilly feeling.

O'Brien beach and along to Herridge with lots and lots of doubling back.

Cross-country skiing (skate) 1:30:00 [2]

Ski with Hammer from P7. Mike's skis were a little slow so we switched them. Wicked conditions. P7 to Ridge. Went to Champlain and then Burma to the Parkway and then back onto Ridge from Gossip Corner.

Note

Working for Fresh Air Experience at Nor-AM Eastern Canadian Ski Champs at Nakkertok. Let's see, perfect weather, around 600 skiers, a mini expo with a bunch of suppliers (One Way, Fischer, Atomic, Madshus, Ski-Go, Star).

Watched the 15km Men and 7.5 (I think) km Ladies skate races. Probably my fave race distance to compete in.

Nakkertok has it going on. The main thing they need to work on is their ski suits.
