Cross-country skiing (skating) 1:15:00 [2]

Man it is fast out there! Leg still bothering me, but felt okay out there. The drive back from Montreal Sunday afternoon was pretty rough on it.

More rain potentially tomorrow so skied tonight.

Few things hype races more than discussing how awesome terrain was 35 years ago.

Cross-country skiing 1:05:00 [1]

Skate ski from P10. Feeling dead, really busy stressful week at work.

Climbing 1:00:00 [1]

Night of climbing with a bit of Freddy and Kevin E from work and his gf.

Yoga 1:30:00 [1]

Power Flow class at the Dog.

Went to Evil Carrie and she did a number on my hamstring this afternoon. Said I can try skiing tomorrow, if pain level is higher than a 4, don't race.

Hammy sort of hurt all afternoon, which is not a great sign.

Cross-country skiing 1:00:00 [1]

Well that was dumb. Ottawa was getting a nasty winter storm with mostly ice pellets and I decided to go to Dave's Training group as they were doing flat intervals on the parkway. Super fast conditions, not too cold.

Except on the first interval I hooked my right ski on the deeper snow and yanked my hamstring, pulling the injured one from the fall. Boo!

Tried to warm it up to keep going, but instead just cruised a bit, did some double poling and went home.

Passed up a Russian art opening for this, poor decision!

Cross-country skiing 1:15:00 [1]

Might as well call this a strength workout. After helping feed XC Ottawa at the Easterns 20km went to P7 and skated. Poor decision, so much deep fresh snow, classic would have been way better.

Watching Easterns was very cool, big 100+ field for the mens reace, a few of my old Edmonton athletes races. Super soft snow, I was very glad I wasn't racing. Nakkertok does a great job. Would be awesome for a big O race stadium, I think the woods are good enough but it might be close.

Ski from P7, felt zonked from staying up too late last night.

Running 45:00 [2]

Just a wee run after a mega busy week at work. Weather looks great for skiing this weekend.

Yoga 1:00:00 [1]

And now for something different, had almost gone to yoga a bunch of times, but decided to actually make it happen tonight. There's a studio super close to bought a 5 class pass for $40.

Class was a Power Flow, which is probably just about perfect. I'd rather a Hot one, but this worked. Very good teacher.
