Orienteering 45:19 [5] 4.9 km (9:15 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 330

H1 MD at Marginata

I was having a really good run until I must have started to overheat and my frigging glasses fogged up on the complex leg to 8. Had to stop three time to clear the mist and then of course - I missed! At 10 I went left when right was the far better option.

Leading a small train to 13, where I picked a set of parallel boulders in the last third of the leg and end up almost on 14 before correcting straight to 13.

Walking 49:50 [1] 1.6 km (31:09 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 330

VE with Kate and Lachlan. Water courses continue to be a challenge for Kate. She finds them hard to see when they're in vegetation and hard to follow at times. Still lots to learn (which I've got to remember and not get frustrated when she's going really slowly).

Orienteering race 27:12 [5] 3.3 km (8:15 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 330

Long NavDash at JFNP - Xmas Tree Creek

Managed to hold off starting until the rain started. Quite tentative over the rocks for the first couple because it was bucketing down and hell slippery. Most legs were clean enough and lots of clear running.

This is an excellent sprint map. General consensus was that we need to find a few more postage stamps around the place that offer a similar standard of running. Goat Fram and Jorgensen were mentioned and I have a feeling that some areas in and around Walyunga (perish the thought) would work too.

Great course, great map - great old fashioned O-weather too.
