another taper day...spent the afternoon scraping the gunk off my bike...haven't done any maintenance on it in a long time. That was quite a workout.

Canadians...one huge mistake that will still take a little analysis to figure out, haven't done that in a long time.
OK, I figured it out but can't understand why I did what was basically a 180 off the trail to head S instead of W...convinced the swamp that I saw was the pond and convincing myself that the pond had dried up...go figure...must have been that my compass wasn't working.
