Spent the morning at the donkey preserve...with 600 donkeys who really like carrots. Since this is a rest day from kiting we spent the rest of the day at the beach and did a short snorkel.

Lesson #2 - Ryan says we're doing really well but I think he's just being nice. This was so much fun, today we worked on getting up on the board. I felt like I had a lot more control of the kite. I did manage to get up once but was so shocked that I didn't know what to do. Next lesson on Friday, hopefully I can get in a ride.

Took our first kiting lesson! Lots of fun although we still have lots to learn. Started with a session on land then moved into the water with Ryan, our instructor, and practiced body dragging. Finished off with more body dragging with Ryan in the boat! So much fun! I got pulled out of the water a couple of times and spent a lot of time practicing relaunching in the water. Even managed to avoid getting sunburned...life is very nice.

I made 2 big mistakes, overshot #6 which cost me 7 minutes. Then I misread #1-31 as #18 (upside down with another line making the 3 look like an 8), spent an extra 6 minutes that were strictly from lack of concentration/fatigue...my brain skipped a beat. Did a total of 1354m of extra distance.
Fun to get to ski, great courses, nice facility and good company.

Decided to do orange to appease all of the aches and pains. Orange was plenty, not sure I would have enjoyed another 3 k. Not too many mistakes, just having to pause to read the map and to make sure I knew where I was.
