Durand west...a little thicker than when we did the icebreaker in April. Great trails with good shade but wasn't able to follow my original plan due to a downed tree, life is good.
Tackled the final garden, took out the rest of the daffodils (they can hang on forever), transplanted the rhubarb, pulled out a 3 wheelbarrows of weeds...should have gotten to this earlier.
went east to the river trails today, lots of foot/bike traffic...perfect temp. Made stop at the rose garden to smell the roses and a short stop at the zoo to see the elephants...there's a path that goes behind the enclosure so we can say hi without actually going into the zoo.
Chiropractor appt., got my hair cut then went to Green Acres for flowers...life doesn't get much better than this. This year I'm featuring yellow snap dragons and portulaca.
Finally time to get my garden in shape. Pulled out the last of the daffodils and tulips, most of the Forget-me-nots are done so I pulled them as well and freed up a lot of space for annuals.
First ride of the season...did my parkway ride. Not sure exactly how long it took, my garmin ran out of battery....drat....but it used to take me an hour to do the ride so I think I was pretty much right on.
