Harriette Hollister, great snow plus it's groomed for the state HS champs tomorrow. Despite the day of rest yesterday I didn't have a lot of zip but hated the idea of missing a great ski day...not many more left.

We took the long way out to the parking lot. I love it that the groomer had covered the entire trail before we got there. I feel like I'm finally getting in good skiing shape, hope there's some snow at home.

Skied to the Little Lydon Lodge and ate lunch there. The trail was rolled so it was great for skating. The snow was heavy on the trees and just beautiful!

Rain early turned to snow made for soggy conditions but there was plenty of snow and it wasn't too cold. Lunch in the yurt...this place is great.

Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, beautiful trails, temps in the 30's, no wind...what a difference a day makes....really hungry when we got back to the lodge.

Durand with Lindsay and Chris...this is the first year that the ski foundation is grooming...snow was a little soft, made skating somewhat tiring.

Not a lot of snow but freezing temps so the skating was pretty good...couldn't see through the ice since there was ice, it melted then refroze....made for a few bumpy areas.
I skated my name...check it out. The neighborhood kids had shoveled a hockey rink so that area was really clear.

Today was a rest day so I didn't work out, I went to our tax appt. and found out that we don't owe any money (getting a refund), had lunch with a friend (great clam chowder), gave blood (she found the vein the first time), got a hair cut (came out great), bought a new vacuum cleaner (rather than repairing the old one)....that's what I call a productive day! ...and there's a new episode of NCIS on TV tonight!

1st time skiing this season...had to stay on the pond since there wasn't enough snow to go anywhere in the woods. There was just enough snow on the ice to be able to skate, a few places where I had to double pole....felt good to get out.

New skis! ...and boots since they didn't carry bindings to fit my current boots...now we just need another 6" of snow so I can try them out without trashing them.
