Had a pretty good run today - I thought the rocks were easy to read and it all made sense. I hesitated a bit to 6, and probably wasted a few seconds on several of the controls taking the wrong way around boulder clusters, then after 7 I headed for 9, as I had my thumb over 8. I realised after a couple of hundred metres and recovered ok, although I was a little discombobulated - probably lost a minute or so there. On the way to 9 I was probably a bit too hesitant going around the rocky hillside, but I should have trusted myself as my plan of attack worked well - another minute or two lost. I also hesitated a little to 14, thinking I'd been there before and trying to work out how I'd gone wrong in the criss-cross pattern our controls made on that part of the map, but it turned out I was mistaken and I hadn't mispunched. I stopped after 15 to have a drink and did my best to power home, but to be honest I didn't have a lot in my legs!
Still, pretty happy with my navigation (although I have no idea how Bridget did this 12 minutes faster - she is amazing!). I remember not so long ago when rock maps used to freak me out. :)
