run (road) 15:28 [2] 1.72 mi (9:00 / mi)
slept:6.0

Up at 5am to get ready for the 8:00 start of the Army 10mi. 5:45 ran to Dunn Loring Metro. Did not get to Pentagon until after 7am. Jogged, walked and stretched to stay warm and ready for race. Temp was around 50F with fog and occasional light rain. Only run to metro logged.

run race (road race) 1:11:55 [4] 10.0 mi (7:12 / mi)

Army 10mi 8:05am. Start and finish at the Pentagon. With current non-training I was expecting around 72 but hoping to go around 70. Hate when I am right like this, official chip time was 72:01, gun time 73:38. On my watch I had 71:55 and 73:36. Could probably have done low 71 if the start had been less congested, about a mile before I could run relatively cleanly. Splits (1:41),7:18, 14:19, 6:31, 15:12, 7:18, 7:15, 7:12, 6:50. Think the 4th marker was in the wrong place since I was running a mostly even pace. Did not see the 2nd and 5th milepoints.
Finished 1150 overall, 1029th male, and 172/1340 in 40-44 age group. Supposed to be 20000 in the race but weather scared a lot off. Think only 13k finished.

walk 29:32 [1] 1.72 mi (17:10 / mi)
(sick)

Planned to run home from Metro, but felt like crap. Ran about 200m and walked the rest.
Had also planned to go to QOC meet at Wheaton later that afternoon but skipped that as well.
