Walking 41:15 [1] 3.06 km (13:29 / km) +6m 13:21 / km

Around and about again, in the cool overcast with faint drizzle, about 45F.

I feel the lower and middle abs. Called it. (Not uncomfortably, just noticeable that I don't do this often enough.)

Around the community, checking out preparations to replace high tension pylons that have a right of way through here ... they're changing the supports from the multi-piece frame structure to single heavy duty poles.

PT earlier today. Not a good night's sleep because of pain, and some showed up during this session too. Tried the TENS plus heat afterwards. Interesting sensation, but relief didn't really last too long.

Running with a trail map at Jacobsburg. Some walking, usually up any kind of hill/upslope.

Right knee, for whatever reason, has acted up occasionally since the weekend, when I'm taking normal steps. Felt okay during this run when I curled my toes and ran on the forefoot (as the Lone Peak/zero-drop shoe encourages anyway) but not when I slowed to a walk. What's with that?? Once it warmed up (1/2 hour in) I wasn't noticing it.

Note

Lost my Timex Ironman triathlon watch at Jacobsburg...likely when I was changing my clothes in the restroom.... Time to shop again. First time I've had to replace one *before* the band broke.

To start of the Long at Bishop Lake near Brighton, MI. Forgot to start my watch at start of trail, so another 150-200m not included.

Plus a jog back to the only portajohn which was ~120m back the road, and back to start.

Orienteering race 1:24:14 intensity: (29 @1) + (16:41 @2) + (48:32 @3) + (18:32 @4) **** 5.38 km (15:40 / km) +82m 14:34 / km

Bishop Lake Long at US Nationals, brown A, 3.9kn/105m. Overcast and 35F.... I had enough warm clothes for running but couldn't make much sense of the map near 1 and 4 and spent the most time there. Leg to 8 I was refolding my 11x17" map so swung a bit off line; to 9 wasn't quite as planned so maybe not as efficient but track showed me going fairly straight so I'll take it. Popped out on road at the portajohn.

Exiting 9 I again wasn't efficient; should have headed NE to get on trail immediately but I angled farther NW. Just a bunch of errors. Well behind Janet (1st) and Linda who were near an hour. 3rd F65 (of 3). Probably near the bottom on Brown A.
