Pilates class 55:00 [2]

With bands.

After, I did the adductor machine (12x2@75#) because you can't really do inner thighs with the band; and pulldowns (12@62.5, at that weight mostly because I didn't want to search for the additional half-weight that wasn't conveniently hanging on the machine). And additional stretching.

Class in Chatham. Ankle nuisance pain acted up so had to be careful with some moves. Regular walking is mostly okay; some lateral and angled moves not. Baffling.

Pilates class 55:00 [2]

Just weights today. Started out with down dogs and planks and then flowed into leg extensions and pulls, then into warrior, triangle, and forward fold. My shoulder had been feeling okay lately (three weeks off from Pilates?) so I gave it a try and don't feel any reactive strain at the moment. Later on we did some planks-to-side planks and I did a couple of those too. I did avoid the push-ups because I know they're trouble, and did overhead triceps with 16# (2 8-pounders) instead. Right knee (the one I bashed) still has some pain in certain positions so I have to be careful moving and stretching.

Learned the name of another classmate by introducing myself. She likes to leave a fan on (and we don't) so sometimes it's a battle, but now that we've "spoken" maybe she'll be more reasonable sometimes? Another woman I know who was set up near her did ask for the fan off today and she complied, so I didn't have to ask. :-)

Aborted attempt at elliptical with a nuisance pain in my right ankle below the bone (arthritis?). 3:30, 0.17 distance units.

Did leg presses (at 95 and 90#), adductors, and pulldowns, plus a bit more stretching.

I enjoyed life better when I could exercise without having to take painkillers first. This is depressing.

Maybe I *should* take up water running instead (Glen and I were talking about using the Y's pool for cross training, since we can). Ugh. Does one need a flotation device for that?

5-5-5x2 workout in between warmup, abs, and stretching. Good to see Ruth again. :-) (when we returned from vacation, she was away)
