Fitness equipment (elliptical) 35:00 intensity: (5:00 @1) + (30:00 @3)
shoes: Asic Gel GT2110 8.5D

30 minutes on the elliptical at the Y, followed by 5 minutes of cool down.

I also did 8 pull-downs at 50 lbs on the lat machine. Does this qualify as a partial pull-up (I won't reveal what fraction)?

Exerc. Class 55:00 [1]

Ex. class in Chatham. Due to the # of people there/lack of equipment/my late arrival, I had to make due with a small step (i.e., no risers). While this is better than doing step routines without a step at all, it wasn't very aerobic. Bummer.

If this keeps up I may have to leave Chatham and just go to the Y--but I really like this instructor, and some of the other class attendees. Maybe I'll even have to get outside and do other exercises, or go to the Y on my Chatham days... :-)

Hiking 53:55 [2] * 2.57 mi (20:59 / mi)
shoes: Trail NB 706 9D # 1

Hike at the Pine Bush Preserve in Albany. This qualifies as a hike because of the 'rugged' trails -- not because of roots and rocks, but because of the raspberry bushes (and a few multiflora rose branches too) across parts of the trail! Lost the trail at one point where a turn wasn't well marked, but didn't go too far before I turned around.

AOWN: I didn't actually see them except for movement out of the corner of my eye, but I think I flushed a fox and a game bird (partridge? quail?) within about 100 m of each other on the trail; Glen went by there shortly afterwards and said he heard some noise off the trail.

Exerc. Class 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Asic Gel GT2110 8.5D

Step class at the "Y," very active; followed by crunches and stretching.

Running (track) (indoor) 10:34 [4] 1.0 mi (10:34 / mi)
shoes: Asic Gel GT2110 8.5D

Since I was warmed up from step class I ran an indoor-track mile, pushing harder in laps 11, 12 & 14* (of 14=1 mile):
Then I ran one more lap pushing even harder--41.79 sec.

Walking warm up/down 3:42 [1] 0.25 mi (14:49 / mi)
shoes: Asic Gel GT2110 8.5D

Cool down laps, walking.

Fitness equipment (strength) 10:00 [1]

FitLinxx equipment for arms, shoulders, and legs.

Exerc. Class 55:00 [2]

After warm up, we alternated a minute on the step with a minute with weights, so this was more of a weight workout than an aerobic one. Of course, it was quite warm and humid, too, thus the emphasis on weights. :-)
