Biking, not Peppering.
A month ago, I was rear-ended, enough that the van was totaled. That day, I bought the Trek Verve+, no test ride or anything. Besides taking it once around the block, I rode it a little yesterday, and then today, I rode it into work. It is very heavy, and maybe a size too big, and I am having a huge amount of buyer's remorse.
Or, maybe I am just upset that I hurt my new car today, scrapping the whole length of the passenger side door on a rock which which I got too close to when entering a parking lot.
Will ride it home, only easy way home, and maybe I will fall in love with it. It did make for a zippy trip into work, into a strong headwind...

Commute home. Will go in Monday and try smaller model. Will have to wait until Jan/Feb to take delivery though.
Put on bike shoes when I got home, been wearing hokas and took a short ride. Did feel more stable dismounting in these. Also reminded myself that I hadn’t ridden in 2+ years, so no surprise that my confidence is shot.
It was pretty cool to power up THE Hill to the house.

A long walk with Harley and my girls, Pepper and Dee Dee. Hoping to wear H out some, so that he doesn't fret in the crate for the next three hours. I think it worked. No vocals coming through on the video camera, which I forgot to turn towards the crate. But, quiet is good.
