Planned to ride my new bike and also swim after but woke up late, and realized that I was not feeling well. Emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted from yesterday. Even the beautiful day could not motivate me out the door.

However, Roger was bugging me all day about the poor bike feeling neglected and all, so I finally suited up and rode around the neighborhood for a bit before dark. Love the bike. Love riding off curbs and hearing the wind in the big wheels, making it sound like I was going really fast.

Saturday Feb 7, 2015 #

Putting radio controls out at the S/F and control 102.
Then back to the S?F to sort out SI-cards for the mass start.

Ended up not going out because of event format with mass start and other craziness.

Thursday Feb 5, 2015 #

40 laps (almost) continuous, which was good, but otherwise the swim was uninspired. Really, the only remarkable thing was that I toughed it out to 80 when I wanted to quit at 40.

Wednesday Feb 4, 2015 #

Biking 1:02:00 [1] 10.3 mi (6:01 / mi)

50 F with 7-10 mph winds. Sounds lovely, and once I get over whining about the wind coming back, I'll remember how lovely it was. Took 6 minutes more for the return trip. OK, I'm done whining...since, it was being outside today was just such a wonderful interruption to winter. Back to the yucky stuff tomorrow.

Saw a beautiful crane next to Four Mile Run on the way out. Meant to stop for a picture on the way back, but some suits inspecting the trail distracted me, and I forgot.

Did take these plane pictures, which reminded me that Lailah and I stopped to watch the landings last week after we had lunch with Roger. Which is the lead in to noting that someone caught her cold, and it wasn't me.

Swimming (80 laps) 48:20 [1] 1.14 mi (42:23 / mi)

Running late was good motivation to swim the best time of the new year. That and wearing the super swim cap for less drag in the water. My hair is an inch long again, so it was slowing me down... ;-)

Two minutes faster than last week. Got done two minutes before the pool closed.
