Race Timing Fountainhead - good day, I think...I haven't had a chance to check my work yet.

Weird thing of the day - during the race, I reached across my keyboard with my ample bosom (not!), and hit the right combination of unknown keys (Ctrl Alt Down arrow) that my whole screen view turned upside down. Wow, talk about mind boggling. Luckily, my most excellent helper, Jen, had this happen at home when her 2 year old was fooling around. So, she called her hubby and he gave me the fix.

[Edit: And, the antidote is to do the opposite arrow. Ctrl-Alt-DownArrow turns it upside down, then Ctrl-Alt-UPArrow to reverse, and the same for the sideways arrows.]

Orienteering race (Wheaton Green) 1:16:16 [4] *** 5.5 km (13:52 / km)
shoes: Ice Bugs Men's Blue 8.5

Crazy day (weekend) with the race this morning (paid again, yeah - it helps pay for my toys) and then off to Wheaton to relieve Heidi and get a course in - hopefully. I was in the port-a-john at the first place when the phone rings - printer issues at the meet site, so I go in knowing that there is going to be stress. I get there and there are the printer issues, as well as the fact that Heidi is trying to use a laptop with nothing blocking the glare. So, we wait for a lull in the group and switch over to my setup. That went well, but with 144 starts, it was non-stop. We got Heidi out, and drafted Jon P to download people, and I got out as well.
Mistakes at 1, 3, & 10 - estimate 12 minutes.

Did get to see the adult soccer team all take a whiz next to the port-a-john by the soccer field.

Race Timing HAT Run (50 km trail run) w/ Sandy. Thanks, Sandy!

Good day, made better by having Sandy there. Once she got her five minutes of instruction, well, maybe 10 minutes tops, then I knew I didn't have to be chained to the computer all day. Sunburned, or maybe chapped face - use sunscreen tomorrow, even if it is only going to be in the 40s.

Dietary intake for the day: 2 chocolate glazed donuts from 7/11, a fairly large big gulp of diet coke, 2 12 oz cans of dc, 1 apple cut up by my honey, 2 warm hot dogs with mustard (the best dogs are at the HAT Run, except for the ones Darcy feeds me every year at the Beer Chase), two 12 oz cans of dc bummed from Sandy, and 1 very cold hot dog as I was leaving. Not one drop of water, or anything of nutritional value except for the apple - thank you Roger.

Janet sent me a package of Peeps for my collection. The eggs have mini chicks and rabbits (and stickers) in them. She included a piece of fabric with chickens on it - a very nice touch. Thank you, Janet.

Note

I found a tick crawling on my back tonight. I must have brought it into the house on Sunday, and it just found me tonight. Ugh!!

Ah, back to work today, but since schools are closed, it seems like another day off with no gym classes going on outside my door. This is the way to start the work week.
