Misc 1:00:00 [2]
slept:3.0 weight:178lbs shoes: Saucony 7 - Banana 2

In just before midnight last night. Slept a little in the car then couldn't sleep when I went to bed around 1230...
Alarm woke us at 5:20, and I didn't have any problem getting out of bed.
Session was okay - Bobby was the only instructor & he does too much swaying and swinging type stuff.
Did do lots of JJ, Mountain Climbers, jogging & sprinting, pushup (some), situps (some).
Probably just right for today since I am pooped.

Orienteering race (COK Green-Y) 1:44:58 [4] 5.1 km (20:35 / km) +190m 17:21 / km
shoes: Silva K80

Second day and an even earlier start at just before 8 AM...clear, crisp morning - very nice. Now, the real test, could I handle having the lead?
I started slow and steady with some small errors and then bam! I started to fall apart on a control that I knew I needed to be careful on. I haven't evaluated my tracks yet, but I was pretty close early on. Nothing looked like an easy place to bail to, but in retrospect, I should have done that anyway. It may have saved me more time. I told myself not to panic and eventually found it - about an 18 minute error. 1st F45 for the weekend, and second to Eileen on Day 2.
Map is here.

Orienteering race (COK Green-Y) 1:25:03 [4] *** 5.0 km (17:01 / km) +195m 14:14 / km
shoes: Silva K80

Early start in order to work results afterwards. Charlie D went out 5 minutes ahead of me and I never saw him again. At the time I finished, I was a bit disappointed with the slow time, but in retrospect, it was quite good. First woman by 50+ minutes and 11th overall.
Lots of green, rainy and wet (thank goodness for the recent contact lens purchase), and just felt like everything was an effort.
Map is here.

Running 12:00 [3] 1.2 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Silva K80

Ran pretty steady to the start - it was mostly flat or downhill, I think...

Orienteering race (COK Sprint) 25:19 [3] *** 2.1 km (12:03 / km)
11c shoes: Jalas Black FLX

Sprint - first out in order to turn on the controls. Barely held off Vladimir with an 11 minute head start. Not warmed up enough, so breathing was a struggle. Mostly stuck with my plan to use trails at all times, but the one time I ventured in, I nailed #10 when others floundered there... Happy to have my contact in instead of glasses due to the rainy conditions - reminds me of the last time I was here in July 04.

Misc 1:00:00 [3]
slept:6.0 weight:176lbs shoes: Saucony 7 - Banana 1

Good session today, though the time seemed to drag - go figure. Warmup run, stretching, JJ, Burpees and Mountain Climbers, jumping up & down reaching up against the wall, wall sits, squats, holding the squat position for 1 minute, pulsing squats, running, Body Shapers - all of this stuff in sets. And situps while waiting for others to finish.

Misc 1:00:00 [2]
slept:6.0 weight:174lbs shoes: Saucony 7 - Banana 2

A better day today - another 20 people present. A 4 lap Range Run (.8 mile). Band work - bicep curls, shoulder presses, arm lifts, etc. Body Shapers (10 x 3), puchups (20, 15, 10). Some other stuff.

Left hip little sore today. And neck is still stiff - has been painful to turn to the left for the last 5 days or so.

Misc 20:00 [1]
slept:7.0 weight:175lbs shoes: Saucony 7 - Banana 1

A grumpy session for me - thought it was going to be a long run, but it was a run with stops to do stuff. I hate that - 20 of us doing jumping jacks, body shapers, and band work on the side of the W&OD bike trail while the commuters wiz by.

Running 40:00 [3] 4.25 mi (9:25 / mi)
shoes: Saucony 7 - Banana 1

The running portion of the session - probably about 9:45 pace or so going out. But at the end, he had us too far out with 20 minutes left. So, I hauled back in about 8:45-9 min pace for the 1.75 miles.
It was fun running together - we had a good group of four. And I really enjoyed the return trip on my own. But the rest of the setup made me grumpy.

Now, do I run tonight, or did I get enough in this morning?

Running (Wakefield HS Track) 30:00 [3] 3.1 mi (9:41 / mi)
shoes: Saucony 7 - Banana 1

Decided that I needed a run this evening, so I took a chance that the track was free, and it was. Looks like a soccer game a little later on...
Just an easy pace. Hip a little sore near the end, so that seemed to be a good time to stop.
Beautiful evening. Wore my iPod, so I didn't have to hear my heavy breathing.

Walking warm up/down (Walk back home) 5:00 [1]
shoes: Saucony 7 - Banana 1

I think a bike ride after work tomorrow.
