Some galumphing in the woods uphill from work, Campus Hill? Crane Hill?, first collecting litter in a plastic bag, then running in the less briar-y places.

Trail riding at Westboro Fish and Wildlife. A couple of washouts, but trails were generally OK. I discovered an enclosure down from the F&W HQ where they are growing American Chestnut seedlings, which they hope have hybridized in the blight resistance from other species of chestnut.

Stirrup Brook from near the high school. Saw one heron near the swampy parts. Also saw one quite bleached skeleton of a small animal in a field near the road. Don't often see that round these parts.
