Night-O at Nobscot. Short advanced course; took very safe route choices, generally, but still had some confused places.

Road running intervals 39:08 [3] 4.0 mi (9:47 / mi)
shoes: BA10

Horse loop w/ R. Hill was w/u and c/d, and 6 x 0.25M hard with 0.25M recovery.

Work intervals were
107s @ 153
106s @ 161
95s @ 158 (downhill partly)
120s @ 152 (uphill partly)
100s @ 158
101s @ 156

Much harder to keep an even pace on the streets avoiding cars and watching the pavement than on a track.

trail running 1:00:00 [1] 4.07 mi (14:45 / mi)
shoes: Salomon trail shoes

Trail running at the Cascades. Up from Olean St to Boynton Park, then up and around on the HIgh Meadow trail, and back down. Along the way, I encountered Andrew Childs coming the other way. We spoke fleetingly about the Highlander.

The Cascades were as dry as I've ever seen them. At a large (2 of 4'x4') culvert beneath the street, there was only the faintest detectable drip-drip sound of water exiting the spillway. Higher up, where water usually streams across the trail, there was barely noticeable dampness.

Today, as I write this, it's pouring to beat the band. Go figure.
