Was worried my legs would be feeling tired after running this many days in a row but felt ok.

Cold run home...

Wisely brought glasses for eyes, conditions through the farm were hostile.

This week marks the beginning of winter training and the end of orienteering... for now.

Luckily, I have Catching Features to keep my map reading sharp and plenty of maps and races to analyse.

I discovered a new way to prolong your casual runs:

  1. Run for twenty minutes to a neighbourhood you are not familiar with.
  2. Run around that neighbourhood randomly
  3. By now you should be lost, run in a direction until you hit something
  4. If you still don't know where you are when you hit a large road or highway, phone home
  5. After phoning home you find out you are not as far away as you originally thought and you run back along mainstreets until you arrive home for dinner.

If you try this workout make sure to bring a cellphone or some money for a payphone, you just might need it.
