Windtrainer 30:00 [2]

Just spinning the legs around as a recovery session.
No real intensity, legs feel a bit better afterwards.
No achilles pain or tightness in the legs but still some sharp nerve pain at times this morning.

Run 1:27:41 [3] 15.6 km (5:37 / km) +45m 5:32 / km
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS

Jolt & Jacko missed their morning ride and I wasn't free until the afternoon so Jolt suggested an afternoon run along the coast in the rain..... then bailed.

I met Jacko on the south side of Hillarys for a run south along the coastal path. Felt comfortable for the first few km and when Jacko needed his first pit stop at around 4 km I decided to do some laps of the ramp and stair reps to fill the time. I probably wouldn't have done so if I had known how far we were going to run.
As we passed Trigg beach, Observation city looked like a good goal for a turn around point. Another pit stop for Jacko at the turn around while I ran to a shop to get some fuel for the return run.
My right calf began to get some sharp nerve pain on the run back so we had a quick stop for some stretching. It didn't get much worse as long as I kept my stride a bit shorter and we slowed the pace a bit.
Another stop for Jacko with just over a km to go, I decided to keep going as I didn't think stopping and starting would be good for the calf. I think this one may have been just an excuse for Jacko to stay out of the one downpour of the run, comfortably sitting undercover while I ran on on the rain, coming out from his shelter when the rain stopped, dry and rested ready to pick up the pace for the last part of the run.
Very happy with the distance today, longest run ever.
Ice for the legs when I got home, calf feeling better however left ankle was quite sore. I'll have to get these trigger points under control and work on my flexibility a bit.

Did you enjoy a nice hot chocolate, snuggled up under your blanky Jolt? :-)

Run 32:34 [3] 6.18 km (5:16 / km) +71m 4:59 / km
ahr:149 max:166 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS

Ran from home to Jindalee beach, along the path a bit then back to the steps down to the beach for some reps. The quads started to burn a bit on the 3rd rep so that was enough as I still had the hill to climb up Jindalee Bvd on the way back home. Other than the reps on the steps I kept a pretty steady pace around the 5:00/km pace for the entire run.
Calves a little tight now, time for some ice.
