Brown Y course at Red Rocks. Nominally 4.8 k. Longer legs, easier navigation, but still some of the usual screwups. Everything was fine through first 4, then a little loose on the approach to 5, a ditch end. There were other ditches in the area and I was too high and a bit too far west. 6 was ok, although I was just walking, but then another 5 or 6 minutes lost at 7. Took a bearing, thought I would be right on it, but I was just left, and went further left. Got pulled off to look at another flag in a gully on the way to 8, then a slow slog across a bunch of gullies cost another 2 min. Otherwise it was fine. A beautiful place and a beautiful day. Nice to visit with old friends again, including Swampfox, who drove down from a Laramie just for the day.

Vazquez Rocks. Tightened up the tape on my left foot enough that it got me through this. Quite a fun place to go. One absolutely terrible leg, losing about 10 minutes looking for #2 before going back to 1 and starting over. Otherwise some small mistakes here and there and some really sore feet. Then home with J-J and Nancy including a stop for Mexican food, as I had no energy left for the trip to the model map the others were contemplating.

Leaves are slippery! I had already packed the icebugs, so went in regular running shoes. Slow sliding back a bit on the uphills, and slow trying to stay upright on the downs. Leaving in the morning for LA, dealing with a bunch of things around here that need to be done. Rhonda is leaving more or less the same time, heading back to TX. Changed my flight back from LA so that I am going to Houston Sunday night. Rhonda's mom passed away last night, and there will be services and get-togethers during the early part of next week.

Cardio Sculpt 1 with Susannah. Hadn't seen her in a while, and Rhonda was along, too. This is the dreaded jumping class, but it wasn't too bad and no harm done.
