Orienteering race (Sprint) 15:09 [5] 2.6 km (5:50 / km) +60m 5:13 / km

Awesome race! I felt really good physically and was reading the map well. I coulda saved some time from 10-11 where I took a less direct route and had to make my own path through the field (quite slow...) Really happy with my result, though!

Orienteering race (Middle) 42:25 [3] 5.6 km (7:35 / km)

Cruddy race... Screwed up the first control then on the way to two I thought I was coming from 12 so I started hesitating because nothing was making sense. 4 was a poor route choice (side-hilled too long, shoulda climbed sooner). 6 was dumb, just misread a re entrant. 8 was terrible. Just dumb. I consciously told myself not to take the best route because I thought it was bad.... After that was good except for 15-16 when I got distracted and stopped reading the map...

Running 40:00 [3]

Decided to run up to "the lookout" today. After a few wrong turns we found ourselves on an overgrown trail. Found a junked car, smashed the windshield some more, then kept going up. Eventually we got to "the top". No view. Then we actually found a place that had a nice view and stopped and told jokes. With 10 minutes, and about a mile to go (all downhill) we decided to leave. We took a straightshot (through the woods) towards the school. Found another nice lookout spot and stopped there. with 5 min to go, we realized we needed to get moving. We were going through the woods when all the sudden we encountered a 20m cliff. We decided it would be a good idea to go around it so 3 minutes later, we found ourselves 100m from the first good lookout spot. From there, it took 7 minutes to go a mile and a half. The first mile musta been about 4 min. All downhill, with prickers, and one tree across the trail at waist height. We got back 5 min late.

Running race 19:30 [3] 5.0 km (3:54 / km)

Slow race. Big long hill slowed me a lot.

Running long 1:05:00 [3]

I realized after we started that this was my 4th hr+ run in 3 days... whoa... haha We tried "trail blazing" it worked until we saw the posted sign and the coach told us we couldn't go if he was there and he wasn't about to leave us. Anyway, we ended up doing a rather half assed run for 20 min. We went to these cliffs, stopped (idk why...) then turned around and went back. I was kinda upset with the really slow pace so I led. Almost lost the group... once we got to the road, though, The coach and I picked up the pace (prob 7min/mile) and ran the 15 minutes back to school. I felt really good during that part. When we got back we ran 3 laps around the track doing strides on the straights and jogging the curves. I was first done because i was jogging faster than everyone else...

Orienteering 1:25:00 [3] 7.4 mi (11:29 / mi)

Blue again on sunday. Didn't wana go because I was sore from the WHNO and because my camping pad deflated during the night so my back was stiffer than a board. But i went out... 1,2, and 3 were ok. 4=bad. 5=ehhh. 6 was ok. 7, lucky. 8,9,10... meh... 11 was good. Lost my punchcard on the way to 12 (holder broke). 13 to end were ok. But I still felt slow and wasn't reading on the run like i should...
