Actually did a reasonable warm up today, and a token warm down effort

Maitland parkrun. New course record! Started out very hard into the headwind along the dam wall. Had 2 blokes on my tail but burnt them off as soon as we got into the twisty section. Handled the bends really well on the way out and was on a good time at the turnaround, 8:24. Really tried to open up on the straight section coming back before the twisty section again. A lot slower coming back, didn't have as much acceleration out of the corners but once I got to the dam wall the tailwind helped me push hard to the finish. Next aim is to get under 17 for this course haha. Probably would have gone sub 17 at Newy today.

Legs really sore now, going to have to do some stretching.

10 mins warm up then 6 x 1min on, 1 min off. Just something short and easy to get my legs moving, which are still surprisingly sore from the track on Wednesday :/

Ints at Glendale with Nic, Angus and Josh on the sidelines. Did 5 sets of 200, 200, 400 with 30secs between each int and 3 mins between sets. Feeling a bit better today but struggled a bit with the ints. To be expected I guess. Good to have a hit out though.

Still feeling pretty rubbish but just went out for an easy jog hoping to spot the solar eclipse, but it was too cloudy :(

Looking at the splits for yesty, apparently I lost 6:29 all up in mistakes. Need to work on cutting out the silly mistakes because a lot of my splits were pretty encouraging, especially towards the end. Same deal with the Easter Middle.
