Long slow on different route - to Mendon via East & LVT, then up Mendon. Got some pretty views, and the traffic was not too bad.

31 miles over last 7 days - probably good to rest tomorrow, unless of course it is too beautiful to pass up.

Orienteering race 49:09 [4] 4.0 mi (12:17 / mi)
shoes: Defyance 1 #4 (Screws)

Mass start, mass finish -
Barely arrived on time - R realized she really needed to be home writing her 2 essays due at noon, so I had to do a quick reversal on 490 - hadn't quite made it to Penfield.

Loved the course - coming and going of people on different routes.

Won the green course, with assist from Zack Butler, who was finding controls any time I messed up. Like a trail challenge or sprint course, there is not much time to study the map - need to keep going.

Bobble on 4,

cautious on 7

Lost my lead on 8, as I slowed up 30m too early looking for it.

Worst was #10 - NEOC guy eventually led me to it - at least 1 spur past where I expected. Staying on the trail would have given a perfect AP.

14 - it seemed forever to show up, I was going much too slow, and allowed folks to catch up.

16, followed Zach's lead and took the trail around, however, I should have gone with my instinct an gone uptake road.

17 - went across the swamp with Zach. Kind of silly, as the path across was another 20m south, and we had to go south anyway to get around the field.

18 - allowed some good running, ... Although Lyons did take the big path to the road (home course advantage). That would have been speedier.

mow lawn (push) 10:00 [3]

These days, I get 90% done with the riding mower, so the exercise time is lower. However, the mower requires some abs work, as I have to continually shift my weight distribution to make sure the upper rear tire gets traction
