Canal Cities Durand Eastman Park training sprint A. Recovering from sprained ankle. No running yesterday, except for some walking to a few controls on night-O. Took it easy today so as not to reinjure. Enjoyed the woods.
Canal cities Durand Eastman park training. Memory exercise w/ Judy Karpinski. Good exercise. We each helped each other to recognize simple, key features (including clue sheet, in my case) that help to find the control.
Canal cities festival, Day 2 at Syracuse site. Sprained my ankle 2/3 through the course, managed to recover and walk, then run, finishing strong for the heat. Did not notice ankle again till I climbed into my sleeping bag, then OUCH. Much swelling in morning. No orienteering on Monday, except for a little bit of night-O.
Had about 10 min of errors. 2 at 5 min each. Tough terrain.
Canal Cities Festival. Day 1 at Syracuse site. Very interesitng terrain. Had a real good race, not perfect, but only about 2 min of errors. Too bad course was thrown out (add another minute error on #8). Still happy with course and how I did. Lots of marshes, muck, intricate contour detail.
