More strong easterly winds,

Rode out to meet Robyn at Mt Henry and then around the Shelley loop and back to where Robyn is staying to test out her Nanaimo Bars, (a true Canadian delicacy) very nice they were.

Wind of course had swung around to NE by the time we came back down the freeway but was a nice tail wind along Matilda Bay to finish off.

Strong Easterly so a tough ride out to East Perth and an easy ride home.

Just Chas, Nicole and I for the Friday effort and Nicole had a meeting to go to so cut short on the regular distance

Legs still feeling the effect of the MTBO race on Saturday. Felt better after the DNA Tower, must have been that downhill is easier than uphill!

Australian Long MTBO Champs. It was billed as long and hilly and it lived up to its advertising.

No major mistakes or bad route choices, just not enough energy to match the interstate competition. The winner was 1:45 around 45 minutes quicker than me. I can't see more than 10 minutes of errors mostly around the faint tracks #5 & #6 where is seemed you had to bush bash to get to the control especially #6 where I could not see a track. I don't think I could have ridden much faster. I had to push the bike up 3 or 4 hills and had to walk it down a couple of rough sections of track, which I guess a more accomplished MTB rider would have ridden.

Managed to beat the local competition but the WA riders filled the bottom 3 spots on day

Enjoyed it, and thanks to Ricky and Jack for all their work mapping, setting & controlling.

Very tired at the end!
