Orienteering race 38:02 [4] 6.08 km (6:16 / km) +13m 6:12 / km
shoes: Innovates

What a nice run, no complex gullies, no rocks, no thick bush just running along through the sand and tracks at Whiteman Park

Still managed to make a couple of mistakes

Orienteering 34:50 [4] 6.02 km (5:47 / km) +77m 5:26 / km

DNA Tower run, the opposite direction to normal up Keightley Rd first then through the park to the Tower and won the Broadwalk. Felt like a hard struggle up to the tower and then a bit easier on the downhill but far from fluid. I guess no non Orienteering runs for two weeks may have something to do with it.

Road Cycling (Commute) 43:30 [3] 19.88 km (27.4 kph) +85m
shoes: Piave Bike

First ride for over a month and the legs could feel the different muscles in use.

Not much changed around the various work sites in a month, but:

a new bike path has emerged on the Kings Park side of Thomas St between Aberdare and Monash Ave, seems to start and stop in the middle of nowhere I guess a replacement for the one that was on the West side of the road,

The work under the southern end of the Windance bridge has finished after maybe 6 months and there is nothing to see for it except a mystery door under the bridge

the site works next to the Causeway behind the WACA have more piles of sand and lots of activity and many small bits of material sticking out of the ground

the ditch where the Esplande used to be is more piles of sand and large drain pipes.

6 PM

Road Cycling 20:00 [3] 7.0 km (21.0 kph)
shoes: Piave Bike

Ride home after a visit to the Heritage aka the old WA Newspapers House building for a couple of cheap beers!

Strong Easterly made for hard work
