Note
(injured) (rest day)

Ankle feels a bit better today, even after standing up at work for 10 hours. A little bit swollen and a bit of bruising, but not too bad. Should be ok for the weekend, but wont be full strength ( lucky there isnt much competition).

Running 41:27 [3] 7.17 km (5:47 / km)
(injured) shoes: Asics Gel Cumulus 16

River run. Legs were very sore and tired, and I was very tired, had a 90 min nap after work. Stepped on the edge of the track along the torrens and rolled my ankle and fell over. Not too bad, but enough for it to be painful and swell up straight away. I think partly caused by my tiredness. Kept going, but didn't go fast. Did 7 stair reps in the middle and going down was a bit painful.

NOL Ultralong at Nerrina 22.4km course (7.5x3)

Started off way too fast (first km 4.04), as had the long leg to 1 and took the road, realised and slowed down. First loop was ok, lost 2 mins on 4, then slow on the long split after the 2nd pivot. Felt really slow from the start of the 2nd loop and crossing the steep creek before 2 took more out of me than it should have. Started walking up hills and just generally stuffed. Didn't read map coming out of the 2nd pivot and went to the same short control as last time, checked the number and it was wrong and checked the map and I went to the wrong control! Doh! Really slow crossing the green creek on the next leg, and then decided that I wasn't going to do the last loop. 1st loop 65 mins, 2nd 85 mins and even if the last was 90, it would've been 4 hours and didn't want to drive 7 hours home after that. Just felt it was too unsafe, would've loved to finish though.
