One whole lap and one shortened lap on extremely reluctant legs. Shame because it was a beautiful Christmas morning and it would've been nice to enjoy it more. Not that I didn't enjoy it, just my legs didn't.

I had planned to ride today after being on call until 8 am but I was so annoyed at missing the 5.30am ride due to staying asleep in bed in case the phone rang (it didn't) that I decided to wait til it was really hot and windy and then do the long run anyway, but to do a much hillier loop than the group did. It was a great loop, nowhere near as long as I had expected and very scenic and peaceful. I even ran all the hills along the twilight beach footpath and had a swim at the end. Jogged very slowly home from west beach. Felt pretty good, and even better now for having done something.

Note

Planned to ride this morning but had a sleep-in instead and very glad I did. Feeling much better for it. Hooray my parents are arriving today! Looking forward to christmas :-)

Got up nice and early so I could have my quiet time with both Ts sleeping and therefore not talking to me :-p
Good fun ride. Sarah came along and I made it my mission to keep her with the group which made us both work hard.

Wind turbine/Blue Haven loop with Lara. Legs a bit reluctant today but I think our pace was pretty good considering the hills, which I would probably not have run up if I was on my own. Heaps of happy walkers and people on bikes and dogs out this morning and every one of them gave us a smile and a hello. Except the dogs.

Wind turbine/blue haven loop with Julie, who just moved to Esperance and is an AR type who is training for a nutty Swiss ultramarathon. Luckily she has only just started training because she is obviously a far better runner than me and I would have no hope of keeping up if she was fitter - which means I won't be keeping up for long! Great morning, time for a quikc swim on hte way back.
