Trek (Cape le grande) 2:30:00 [2]

Walked with Gen and T2inabackpack from Hellfire Bay almost to Thistle Cove, found John and walked back again. Legs a bit tired, and Edmund is getting heavier (not helped by his 3 million tiny winged friends). Never seen so many flies, if it hadn't been windy it would've been unbearable. But it was ok because they were mostly behind me. Glad they are all in Le Grande and not in town!

Note

Just realised that according to Tooms's rules, I have yet to do a roadie that counts - haven't yet cracked 50km. And yet I am getting fitter :-)
6 AM

Roadie (scenic loop plus stearnes) 1:45:00 [3] 48.8 km (2:09 / km)
shoes: Shiny carbon pro lite

With Gen (for the first half) and Nat. We did the hills first, then rode straight into the steadily increasing wind from mississippi bend almost until the coffee cat, before a brief tail wind section just before we got home. Rode side by side for the whole ride except the highway bit where Nat "let" me ride in front, ouch, so no respite. Pushed a lot harder than a 27.4kph average would suggest!
Home by 8am, now having a quiet day while John rides 100km along the highway in the midday sunshine behind a truck, for charity. I think I might have got the better deal!
4 PM

Run (SE runners) 19:58 [3] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)

This was meant to be a slow pram jog but a horribly strong sand-carrying crosswind killed that idea. Then some kindly walkers offered to take the pram so I went for an easy jog instead with Gen, who said she would be very very slow after 6 weeks off with a broken toe, haha. And then at the halfway point she announced that we had to crack 20min, wind or no wind, and we did too, just, keeping an eye on the clock so we wouldn't do any more work than we had to.

Run 30:00 [2]

Uninspired blob from home, but it is a gorgeous morning and I managed to squeeze a lot of beach-and-granite-headland-rockhopping into my short jog. Had to do an extra 100m up the road and back when I got home, to make it to 30min and therefore vaguely loggable.

Roadie (Group ride) 1:16:00 [3] 40.8 km (1:52 / km)
shoes: Shiny carbon pro lite

We kept adding and losing ppl but mostly just five of us. It felt really hard but it was quite fast on the whole and I did my fair share at the front. Good ride!

Roadie (scenic loop) 1:15:00 [3] 37.0 km (2:02 / km)
shoes: Shiny carbon pro lite

With Gen. It felt hard, legs still a bit tired and work has been a bit crazy, but we got there and I think we're getting faster, or at least pushing more consistently. I need to get a bike computer.

Run (Drills) 15:00 [2]

Coach Tooms led us for some comedy running drills at West Beach. He's losing his touch - of the two kids there, he STOPPED one crying and the other one never cried at all.
Surprisingly tired after my teeny roadie effort yesterday, figured it was time for a rest day.
