Roadie (myrup rd loop) 1:31:00 [4] 45.5 km (2:00 / km)
shoes: Shiny carbon pro lite

Secretly I was a bit glad when the girls' group bailed one by one, because Gen and I joined in with the boys' group instead and boy did I work hard. I decided to toast myself trying to keep up for as long as I could, and actually made it to the end, somewhere between the fast 3 at the front who I kept in sight, just, and the rest of the group who were out of sight, behind somewhere. Still pushing strongly on the way home but had nothing left at all for the last hill through west beach. Ouch.
Great fun, and I'm pretty confident that I can get fit by January if I do a ride like that once or twice a week.
Got home at 8.50 to find T1 and 2 both just waking up!
Oh and there was a huuuge cooked breakfast afterwards which made everything even more worthwhile.

MTB (Piggery) 1:10:00 [2] 16.0 km (4:23 / km)
shoes: Yeti ASR

1 almost loop, 1 family loop and 1 half loop. Newfound respect for overweight people and people with two heads who ride bikes, after the babyinabackpack laps. Hard work, but I think Edmund appreciated the effort, his snoring sounded happy.
4 PM

Run (pram) 18:00 [4] 3.2 km (5:37 / km)

Runners' club from the tea rooms to the jetty and back, a bit cross-country to avoid the lumpy beach with the pram.

The first baby monitor session. I was going to do the usual 5min interval thing but I don't have a watch at the moment so I had to choose between using my phone for music or as a stop watch. So as a compromise I did three sets of 1 song hard, 1 song harder, 1 song recovery. I had the thing on shuffle and hadn't fully registered what sort of rubbish is on my phone, but it made the lucky dip intervals quite interesting. Especially the middle set where the hardest interval was 8 min of obscure french rap and the recovery afterwards was 17 sec of Patsy Biscoe singing 10 little indians.
It was better than sitting waiting for a baby to wake up, and I worked hard, and I did not eat Macca's afterwards so it was all worthwhile.
