Roadie 1:24:00 [3] 37.0 km (2:16 / km)
slept:6.0 shoes: Shiny carbon pro lite

Rode out to Kalamunda for orienteering. On the way I got passed by the Subaru World Congress who were travelling in convoy to their secret conference.
My average was pretty crap to start with and Kalamunda Rd didn't help.

Orienteering (Kalamunda H3) 1:09:00 [2] 4.8 km (14:22 / km)
shoes: fluoro yellow trabucos

I spent 26min standing still! Amazing, it didn't feel that bad. The rest of the time i walked slowly.
Control 2 I lost about 5min getting tricked by an unmapped track. Silly, silly beginner mistake. Control 4 I spiked by mistake- just happened to look to the left at the right time, when I was thinking about starting to read the map. Number 5 I wasted heaps and heaps of time circling the wrong cliff. After control 6 I got sick of plodding unenthusiastically through the green stuff so I did the rest on tracks. It was a bit further and number seven I spiked by accident too, walked across a clearing, looked over a cliff and there it was.
So once again I do not claim to have spiked any controls, because two accidents don't count.
Juffy beat me by about half an hour.
Grumble, grumble.
Having said that, I decided early on that running wasn't going to happen, so I really enjoyed my plod through the bush. Seemed to be a lot of newbies there too.

Roadie 20:00 [2] 8.0 km (2:30 / km)

Pootled to Pickering Brook at MTB speed with MTBdalto. Ate lunch. Got a lift home, nice.

Lovely late morning paddle from Floreat to Scarborough and back with John. Another gorgeous sunny day :) Oh and I made it out through the massive shore dump and back in without falling in! Splish...

Ran a few big laps of McGillivray, with intermittent stretching, hoping to unstiffen stiff muscles before the actual run.

Run intervals 45:00 intensity: (25:00 @2) + (10:00 @3) + (3:20 @4) + (6:40 @5)
shoes: Metallic blue Asics

3 sets of 5 x 40/20's around the footy oval. Warmup, cooldown, recoveries, drills and run throughs.
Good group tonight and even a cameo appearance from Sophie.

Run long (trogaining) 1:44:00 [3]
slept:8.0 shoes: Metallic blue Asics

Another afternoon variety run with Jess and Wil. Various circles around Kings Park with various combinations of me, Jess and Wil. It went surprisingly quickly (the time i mean, not our pace!) and I'm not as shattered afterwards as last time.

Roadie 2:15:00 [3] 61.0 km (2:13 / km)
slept:6.5 shoes: Shiny carbon pro lite

Fun ride with John and Danger (once we turned him the right way up). They had broken each other yesterday so I was able to keep up today. Round the river, usual stuff. Had lunch in the park then pottered around Scotch checking control locations. Ooooh there are some doozies in there... :-) Cruised home up the coast. Another gorgeous sunny day for riding bikes.
