Biking up Mt. Pleasant! It was finally sunny and warm enough that I thought I wouldn't freeze on a weekend biking day, so I headed out for a ride. An Ithaca High senior made a very convenient webpage of nice bike rides in the area a few years ago, so I chose one that didn't seem too ambitious, since it will be my first time out in a while, and headed on out. It was glorious to be exercising outside and actually going somewhere. I'm glad biking in place is an option for getting exercise, but it is a boring option...
The route was lovely with rolling hills and lots of trees. I am always going to be spoiled by Berkeley bike rides, but this was very pretty with the added bonus of having very, very few cars. I felt an inkling of a complaint from my ankle at the top of the first hill, which was the longest and steepest on the ride, but otherwise, it was totally fine the entire time. My wrists were really starting to complain by the end, though, and my butt was becoming unhappy. My padded shorts are MIA since the move, so I might need to get a new pair. Great to get out!!!
For future clothing needs: It was 50 and sunny, and I wore tights and wind pants on bottom and 2 long-sleeve shirts + a buff around my neck (in case I needed a mask). I started out also wearing gloves under my bike gloves and a fleece, but I took those off after about 10 minutes. I was sweaty on the uphills, ok on the flats, and cool on the downhills, which seems pretty ideal.

Normal abs + the set of exercises from Carlie. I only did one set of double leg hops and one set of single leg hops. I don't think I'm quite ready for the single leg hops, though, because my ankle hurt a little bit at the end of the first set, so I'll concentrate on the double leg hops for now.
