XC Skiing 15:00 [1] 1.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

BKL at Great Brook on actual snow. Not enough to groom but definitely rock skis around the fields. Andy sat this out too, but I figured I might as well go up and do that coach thing. I had too much wax, but didn't really matter with the kiddos. We did some hill work, which seemed a bit too hard for them. I think the head coach is pushing them a little too much. We had them skiing for almost 1.5 hrs, but at the end they had taken their skis off and were running for the tag game. Lots of smiles with the games at the end.

Cycling 1:00:00 [1] 18.78 mi (3:12 / mi)

Tour de Zwift after a crazy bday party day. I'm so toast and my house is a wreck.

XC Skiing 45:00 [1] 6.25 mi (7:12 / mi)

Warmup/cooldown. WIth not much snow Weston was pretty packed. And snowmaking pipelines went across the course the minute the race was over. Couldn't get much volume after the race.

XC Skiing race 13:25 [4] 2.61 mi (5:08 / mi)

Race for Snow, evening race this year. This is always a fun event that the local kids set up. The past 2 years Andy has done the lollipop race, but with a nasty stomach bug she was sitting it out and trying to recover for her bday party on Sun. So I just went down for the adults race, a mass start 5k for the women. One of the highschool girls put on a fast start (read not double poling in the double pole zone), so I followed her up the hill and down through the driving range. Snow guns were out and she bobbled hard at the bottom of the downhill, so I pushed for a pass and was out front the rest of the race. I ended up lapping the entire field on the short 800m laps. Felt good and like I could have raced a lot farther (hopefully that feeling lasts for the marathon coming up).

Cycling 1:00:00 [1] 23.0 mi (2:37 / mi)

Zwift tour ride. Tried to go easy but got a couple of sprints in and won the stage. HR stayed pretty low so it's probably ok.

XC Skiing 20:00 [1] 3.0 mi (6:40 / mi)

Warmup at weston in the rain. Training skis were so slow.

XC Skiing 11:08 [4] 2.23 mi (5:00 / mi)

8 lap interval start race of loop around driving range and hill. Started early to make it home in time for Andy to open presents for her birthday (yes bad mom raced on her birthday, but there's a big party this weekend. priorities). Race skis were much better than training skis and I had a good start. I was tailing one of the faster master skiers for 2 laps, but then he finished. After that I was alone and surrounded by tons of slow traffic. I tried to keep it up but I mentally unwound a bit. Getting yelled at to take inside turns when the slower skiers were cutting them off was annoying. Feeling tired from the weekend too.

XC Skiing 7:00 [1] 0.7 mi (10:00 / mi)

Very short cooldown to get back to birthday girl.

XC Skiing 1:00:00 [0] 2.0 mi (30:00 / mi)

Slow kid ski to the cocoa cabin. Lots of stopping and snacking and reading the stories out on the trail. Cocoa cabin wasn't open which was very sad. They had cocoa back at the main lodge, phew.

Some very improved xc skiing on her part since we last did the trail, but seems like it takes forever to do this trip each time. Good thing I packed my downhill gloves but could have also used a puffy jacket. Touring is hard.

XC Skiing 30:00 [1] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

The harder bits pulling Andy on the bungie cord. Maybe a little generous time wise.
