Warmup

Tuesday night race
I was being a space case right before the race, and missed getting a spot in the start pen. I ended up in the back row, but the other ladies were there so I figured it was ok. Slick, icy, rutty conditions with a chaotic start and one fall near the front of the field. Made it around that but really got stuck hard behind one guy with very crazy wide form. Took me most of a lap to get around him, and by then everything was strung out and the next group pretty far ahead. I was feeling good so just kept picking people off. Then surprisingly saw Ari on the side of the course yelling "oof" or something like that. Found out later it sounded like a well planned fall. I was getting somewhat closer to one of the lead groups, but didn't have enough distance to make the gap. And luckily held off Ari at the finish line! Gotta barge my way closer to the front of the start line next time, so much passing tired me out.

Post race ski on some of the natural icy snow and then the course when the 2nd wave was done.
