Note

Spent the day driving down to my favourite town in Vermont where I'm going to live my pretend Waterbury life. I've taken a couple of days off during the week but will be working here the rest of the time. I always feel like I'm just passing through Waterbury and wanted to see what it would feel like to 'live' there, even if just temporarily! The drive was long but smooth.

Timato, simpy and I had a winter camping trip into Queen Elizabeth Wildlands planned for this week, but the forecasted storm on Friday night made us reconsider. Our Plan B was to meet up for a ski at Glen Elg, which I'd never been to before.

After a bit of a rocky start on the hilliest trails of the day (where my skis came off on multiple downhills), our route was a cornucopia of beautiful trails that had me exclaiming "isn't this lovely / wonderful / beautiful" too many times to count. We saw two other skiiers in the parking lot when we were done, but no others out there, which made it feel like we had the place to ourselves. I'm so happy I got to check this place out and our Plan B turned out pretty great.
