Biking 20:00 [1] 10.0 km (30.0 kph)

Biked to Roberts Robarts Library in advance of my stats exam. Conditions were brisk, but I was adequately warm in my 3/4 tights, long sleeve, wind breaker, gloves and balaclava. I'm pretty sure I annihilated my stats test (probability theory, dirichlet distributions), but Dunning-Kruger is always a concern.

Biking 25:00 [1] 12.0 km (28.8 kph)

Bike home via Davenport after a long day with a pit stop at Junction Fromagerie to buy some Gruyere and smoked Cheddar. I must return, as their cheese options looked excellent.
10 PM

Running 10:00 [1] 2.0 km (5:00 / km)

Prius battery had insufficient power to start both initially and after a grocery trip, so I had an unplanned scamper to retrieve a Car2Go. I have been driving perhaps once per week for ten minutes for the past month, so it may be that my driving pattern was insufficient to keep the 12 V charged. Alternatively, my battery (or some other part of my electrical system) may be faulty. Apparently Priuses have very small 12V batteries and recharge them directly from the hybrid system, not the alternator. I have had to jump start my car thrice previously this year; two came from accidentally leaving the radio on, and one was apparently caused by lack of use. This is the fourth episode.

Note

My logging has been woefully behind, and the past few months have been a bit overwhelming in many aspects of my life.

Physically, I was ill in the aftermath of classic champs. I caught whatever stomach ailment was besieging our group and spent most of Monday vacating my stomach of its contents. While my appetite had returned by Wednesday, whether due to that illness or another, I was very weak for the entirety of last week with a headache and malaise. My condition was sufficiently infirm that I took the TTC to work every day instead of biking. Furthermore, I seem to have injured my back on the second day of Classic Champs, possibly with a minor strain - standing up straight was difficult.

I have some notes to post on Board activities, including the meeting at the Classic Champs and the phone call this past Thursday. The most salient point of discussion was the 2018 OUSA Budget - which is of paramount importance because it implicitly dictates the direction of the organization. Stay tuned for details.
