Diablo Valley College. Not a good run for me. In fact, there was little running as I had to proceed cautiously throughout, trying to see details on the map and in the terrain. Had a great deal of difficulty picking up the faded-purple overlay used to mark the control circles and numerals as well as key under- and over-crossings. To top it off, made a 3 min error when I made a sharp left instead of a modest left coming out of #9, got myself really confused, and had to go back to #9 to get straightened out. Roughly 3 additional minutes lost via a variety of bobbles due mostly to not being able to see the map clearly. Felt like I didn't have the concentration required for a race like this (too many other things on my mind, e.g., was planning particulars of the calculus videos I'm going to do all morning and even right up to race time).

Front-of-house, two loops: 557, 510. Accelerated the last half lap, and it was easy - good sign that I'm reasonably ready (at least physically) for Saturday's Sprint-O.

Stormy day. Since it doesn't look like it's going to get any better, figured I'd get it over with asap. It was quite nasty out (40 degrees, windy, steady rain, lots of big puddles), so it was hard to stay relaxed, meaning that I ran a bit faster than I might have otherwise. Legs felt pretty good, but left knee and left achilles were definitely sore.

Short workout with Saturday's A-meet sprint coming up.

Today was essentially an off day. Louise got home late from the SF Ballet last night (made worse because Norma's car was towed in Los Gatos), it was the beginning of daylight savings time, and Louise got up at 7 to meet her running mates. That is, it was a very short night, so it was a low energy day. I did the theraband exercises to make doing the strength exercises tomorrow a bit shorter, as tomorrow already looks like a busy day.
