Fair Hill Big Elk Chapel - SVO local event Red course. Another lousy run in cold monsoonal conditions. Passed Lena at #3 and told her I could do this course with my eyes closed due to my familiarity with the park. I would eat those words and a slice of humble pie on #11 where I lost focus and time sorting out the trails (the new ones I had added to the map for the event last fall). Also blew #12 which should have been a simple aiming-off exercise. Probably 10 mins lost on those 2 controls.

Other than that, just slow going through all the muck and green vegetation. The fields were pretty much out of play for route choice due to knee to waist high grass.

Looks like there was a lot of extra distance on this course.My gps registered 12 km and it didn't even start until almost at Gallaher Rd.
