Trail Run 51:15 [4] *** 5.8 km (8:50 / km) +190m 7:36 / km
spiked:18/19c shoes: Icebug Spikes

Warwick County Park - Local event Red course on a spectacular spring day. A very enjoyable course with some nice technical legs. I walked the hills but was pretty clean - just a little high on 17. Biggest problem occurred on the easy leg from 17-18. I was running fast downhill through the mowed fields near the parking areas when I decided to cross what looked like a harmless 6' wide patch of rough open. I charged in at full stride and immediately sunk up to my waist in a marsh. The map was submerged, I went down head first and emerged with a mouthful of cattail and cattail hair all over me. All this happened right in front of a couple fishermen who were walking down the paved trail on the other side. I'm sure they had a good laugh at my expense.

Now if I could only figure out what to do about this pesky little HM4 issue.

White Clay Creek SP - Stopped on the way home and put out some more stakes. Only about 10 left - most a short distance from the arena.

White Clay Creek SP - Putting out the stakes for the e-punch stands. Finished about 2/3 of them. Only 2 streamers were missing. Snagged a couple golf balls and saw a garter snake. Gorgeous day in the woods.

Lunchtime run with Bob & Clay. Hung with Clay most of the way, gave up a little ground on the final hill. Decent pace, headwind at times.

Great games tonight. Eileen must have put out an APB after last week because we had 6 on 6 including several people who haven't been there in a long time. We took the first game in a barnburner 17-15 and then went 1-5 the rest of the games but they were almost all very close. Both teams had their offenses cranking.

shoes: Salomon XR Mission

Alapocas Run State Park / Rockford Park - Had an all day Hygienic Design Workshop at the Experimental Station so afterwards took advantage of the opportunity to go for a run next door at Alapocas Park. Through the park then out to Rt. 202 on the greenway trail, through the Alapocas neighborhood past Friends School, down to Brandywine Creek on the Bancroft Mill pedestrian bridge, climbing up to Rockford Tower then back down across the creek and uphill to finish. Perfect weather.

Road Run 31:30 [3] 4.0 mi (7:53 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT-2000

Lunchtime run with Bob. No Clay = comfortable pace. Which was good since I need to let my body recover a bit. It is basically one massive puncture wound.
