orienteering (practice) 23:00 [4] 3.0 km (7:40 / km)

At Hammonds Rocks, short dist.type(middle lately).Orienteered to the features,no flags set out.I set a 5.2 km. course but after ~half way I'v got in an area where I could'nt match almost nothing from the map with the features in the terrain(mostly rock features) and some veg.I slowed down until I found myself just standing on the top of a big cliff, overlooking a substantial area and standing still, and could not discipher what the mapper wanted to reprezent.I walked for an hour trough the area(later on at home I noticed that I was al over a smal triangle shaped area mapped by Alexei Zuev),most of the area is overmapped(according to the IOF mapping rules and standards),but are some areas undermapped as well,( for example:a nice, verry vizible charcoal terrace, unmapped, tangent to a mapped cliff, some small cliffs, some boulders),a lot of inconsistencies in within the area as well with the rest of the map, mapped by Vladimir Zherdev, who looks like he knows his mapping stuff.Unlikely to be able to use this area to place controls there, even if it looks verry appealing(on paper looks verry similar with Rockhouse Mountain).I just wonder if Eddie and Brad are aware of this, since they were verry involved, with the mapping and the recent SVO A meet held there.Bytheway, this area is on both maps(hammonds roocks & kings gap).

orienteering (mapping practice(not real) 1:00:00 [1] 3.0 km (20:00 / km)

Checked out (forced by circumstances) a smal triangular shaped area on the middle of the northern edge of Hammonds Rocks map, site of the recent SVO A meet.Lots of missmapped stuff ,mostly rock features(more than 50%)It looks like the area was field checked by Alexei Zuev.Verry inconsistent also.
