They don't call em the fightin Irish for nuttin.
A really slow start: on the way to C2, decided to run the "flat, white" woods, which were lumpy and covered in downfall, and a log that I was using to cross a ditch collapsed and I had to climb up the log. C4: instead of taking the reasonable route L that everyone else did, I wanted to avoid a ditch crossing, so went R. This may have worked except that I encountered an unmapped fence and assumed that I had overrun the control. This was 5 min lost. I was in last place at that point.
Looking at the map, my favorite parts were the rough open at 7 and 8 and 16 and 17. It wasn't really rough - high but not stiff or dense - and didn't impede running and you could look ahead to make out the vegetation boundaries. (16 was in the woods, but I found it because I noticed the open area ahead -- I didn't understand the dotted line)
