Orienteering race (Long) 1:57:15 [4] 11.6 km (10:06 / km) +280m 9:01 / km

Long distance at Werakata National Park. Because our starting times were close to each other, Tapio sacrificed his own race so that I could run.
I didn't really think about the lenght of the course beforehand, I just decided to enjoy the journey and so I did. Some mistakes and the speed wasn't great, but I'm happy that I could finish such a long course without too much trouble.

Running warm up/down 5:00 [2]

Note

I got the strangest pain in my right ankle when we were driving back to Sydney. It just came out of nowhere and got worse and worse, and by the time we arrived to Sydney I couldn't step on my right foot at all. I had to jump to the hotel on one leg and it was really hurting even when I wasn't moving. So I had to take a pain killer in order to get into the shower. I was quite worried, but the weirdest thing was that the next morning the pain was gone!

Orienteering race (Sprint) 22:05 [4] 2.61 km (8:28 / km) +60m 7:35 / km

Sprint at the University of Newcastle. My first orienteering race since March 2011. It wasn't the easiest to start with, quite tricky actually. And I could really feel that I hadn't ran with a map in a while...

Running warm up/down 5:00 [2]

Orienteering race (Middle) 43:00 [3] 5.2 km (8:16 / km) +90m 7:37 / km

Middle distance at the old Pelaw Main Colliery Site. I started 10 min late because one of us had to watch Lilja all the time, and I didn't get the right feeling for the race even if I tried to. It didn't help that there was almost nobody in the start or in the forest anymore when I started. Also the terrain was quite boring, but of course it was fun to orienteer again!

Running warm up/down 15:00 [1]

Running intervals 20:00 [3]

Running warm up/down 10:00 [1]

In KLCC-park. I didn't have my watch, but it was probably about 10 intervals, maybe something around 1' each and some jogging/walking inbetween.
There is some "mystique" in the park at night. The magnificently lit Petronas Towers, the empty mosque and the call to prayer...
