Feeling mostly back to normal post race, but this week's schedule has not been super cooperative for having time to do much.

D&L Half Marathon

So there was this race, which I registered for probably back in January or thereabout, before the Mid-Atlantics were scheduled and before I spent the entire summer being broken and in pain. Bib transfers not allowed. So I just went for it. (I did ask the PT before I was done there and he didn't seem particularly concerned despite it being only a month away.)

Slower than last year, probably to be expected, but a tiny bit faster than the half I did in the spring although that course was rougher. Most of the time I wasn't sure I'd make it to my personal goal of under 3 hours, but I just squeaked it in again.

5K time was about 36:15, 10K around 1:18 something and passed the halfway point around 1:27:30 (you can see why I wasn't sure about making the time I wanted.)

Although slower, I felt more durable than last year. I was able to include short running/jogging segments even in the last few miles and didn't have any major body part fails/pain. I have a few small blisters and will probably lose at least 2 nails (felt them pop up inside my shoes which was gross) but overall seem to be less stiff compared to last year or spring. (We will see about that in the morning, though....)
