Started out in a suburban park, walking the paved loop trail and then out and back on a spur that goes around some farm fields. On the first time around the loop I noticed what looked like a possible trailhead in a corner of the park, but thought it might just go over to some houses. After the spur I went for a second time, in reverse, around the paved loop. When I reached that corner again, I decided to see if that trail went anywhere. It went into the woods for just a minute, then emerged into a wide, grassy path through a beautiful hidden meadow. There were no signs of any type, so I followed it through the meadow and it entered another woods. Still no signs, so I took the trail into the woods until it crossed a large creek on a culvert, but another branch of the creek did not have any bridge over it and I wasn't in clothes that I felt like getting filthy. It appeared the trail soon would reach the edge of a road, anyhow. So I backtracked through the meadow to the park and back to the car.
Looked it up in GIS and this land all does belong to the the township and is part of the same parcel as the park. Cool.
