Not bad except for #5.... ugh. I went along the trail searching for a good place to enter the woods and never found one. I finally ended up attacking from the trail bend to the WSW of the control, stumbling through rocky ground, deadfall, and brambles. I encountered the other terrace under the line from 5-6, then ended up at the stony ground and recognized it as the correct one due to position on the ridge. I turned and saw the control. Right then I walked into/got smacked by a large branch right in the ear. It knocked the earring right out of my ear, thankfully not tearing my ear in the process, but I wasted a minute or two here looking on the ground for the missing earring (Did not find it of course. Way too much crap and rock.) Andddd... that seems to have cost me several placings and probably TGL. I really loved those earrings though :-(
Preferred the controls which were easier, but had route choice and didn't involve thrashing. I knew well enough to go around on all the legs where woods could be avoided.
The climb and green are the worst here. Barreling down the trails when there's a leg from the top of the hill is the best!
PS I miss the rankings :-(
