Never ending uphill slog of death to the start. I think they should give medals for making it to start both days.

West Point Day 2 - Green Y (F-Green)

- Had climbed up to start only to head right back down, then up yet again. First found another boulder in front of a cliff, which had a PVC pipe and a streamer on the correct corner, but no bag. Wandered around up here a while trying to make sense of the rock, but every time I thought I did, no control. Finally saw Robert coming out from behind a cliff and the rock was back there, almost exactly parallel to first rock I had found with just a cliff between them.

- Down ridge, through rocky and steep gap in cliffs. Control closer to bottom of cliffs than I thought but in right direction anyway.

- To trail, went right of swamp and up stream. May have been faster to go left on road. Ran into Ann here, told her she got me today.

- Out to road, up spur, across rough open top, to bag. Ann paralleling me on right and came into control at same time.

- Down the hill. Have to be careful of ankles and knee on downhill, so Ann started getting away here. Direct to pit, no problem. Nice open woods here for once.

- To big open area, then off corner, not difficult. Woods still nice.

- Enjoying this little breather of an easy section. Crossed 2 trails and could easily read contours to control.

- Along edge of swamp, across stone walls, things more thorny here than shown.

- To road, up through cliffs by small marsh to trail, along left side of marsh. Got pulled too far right along E edge of marsh, seemed to happen to several others here too, corrected and back to control.

- Followed stream up, from corner with marsh/trail could see bag, just had to get over there.

- Most cursed leg. Dragging uphill through stacked cliffs, whatever that green stripey stuff was representing (saplings? junky crap?) Then up MORE cliffs to the open top. Got a little far left and saw the other little yellow hilltop, then went right to control.

- Started sidehilling, which sucked, so climbed to top again and then went down through yellow/grey stuff to the rock. Not navigating so well by this point, luckily came right to it.

- Soooo tired. Across a bunch of little ridges to road. Easy to tell where control was, tons of people going in and out.

F - Down and down and down. Across some little footbridge with a bag on it, thought this would have made a nice Go control. Bottoms of feet hurt, could barely walk on big rocks of road. People yelling at me to run, so picked up a lame jog. Finally done. Ugh.
