Fun on White with June! A bit of whining, carrying, etc., but overall a good time.

Walking/Hiking warm up/down (Jog to Start) 20:23 [1] 1.24 mi (16:28 / mi) +197ft 14:19 / mi
shoes: Asics Piranha SP 3

Orienteering race (West Point Blue) 2:33:59 [3] 8.02 mi (19:12 / mi) +1332ft 16:35 / mi
shoes: Inov-8 Trailroc 245 (1st pair)

West Point Blue course, 10.7km. Brutal, brutal stuff. I was going slow enough that I didn't make much in the way of mistakes, no more than a few minutes, but the lowbush blueberry plants sucked out my life force. Contrary to most, I really enjoy this map and terrain. Neat stuff. Not sure if I'll be able to do blue tomorrow ... we'll see how recovery goes.

A beautiful day in the woods with the gals!

Orienteering race (GovDick Blue) 1:43:27 [4] 6.71 mi (15:25 / mi) +1355ft 12:57 / mi
shoes: Asics Piranha SP 3

Holy smokes, a lot of climb. That was fun! Superb training for West Point. I forgot my shoes in the kid juggle this AM, so ran in my Piranhas ... 4.7 oz racing flats. It wasn't too bad, actually. If there had been any mud or slippery rocks, I would have been screwed.

Superb course by SamK. A real, true, Classic!
