Orienteering 49:58 intensity: (10:00 @3) + (25:00 @4) + (14:58 @5) *** 5.5 km (9:05 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Trail ROC 245

'Medium Hard' course at Minor Event on map called Heartbreak Hills.
As per the name, much more hill than last week. After yesterdays weights it only took until control no 1 to start feeling the legs burning.

No 5. Got distracted by someone else as I was running into it . (c20 secs)
No. 6. Didnt see my intended attackpoint but recovered ok (c30 secs)
No 8. I started running towards 9, realised, and decided to keep going anyway for some extra contour nav practive (the other route choice was a path run).
No 9. Quick, since I'd already been there.
No 11. Didnt follow my plan re attack point, so then needed slow down for caution.
No 14. Getting tired so followed the longer path route, but lost the path so used a different AP

Strength / Core 1:00:00 intensity: (5:00 @1) + (5:00 @2) + (10:00 @3) + (20:00 @4) + (20:00 @5)
shoes: Vibram 'Bikila'

Body Pump @ Mayfield

W/U 3.75kg
Squats 10kg
Chest 8.75kg
Back 8.75kg
Triceps 5kg
Lunges 7.5kg
Biceps 5kg + 3.75kg
Shoulders 5kg
Abs

Needed a few short rests in the biceps and shoulders tracks: partly for being knackered, but as much for mild dizzyness.
Took my time with shower and changing before the short drive home.
Will be interesting to see how I pull up for O' tomorrow.

Strength / Core 10:00 [4]
shoes: Inov8 Bare-X Lite (Lime)

SL squats and trx rows before class

Strength / Core (Pilates Reformer) 45:00 intensity: (10:00 @2) + (20:00 @3) + (10:00 @4) + (5:00 @5)

I did every single one of the hardest options she gave, and sneakily made the resistance on the reformer more difficult too. Yet, only the squats / skating exercise got me to a proper burn.

Instructor said she'd been told to do things 'differently' which, it seems, just meant 'easier' in many cases. Bearing in mind I'm no where near as fit as last year, and I've only been to pilates once a week , this is the advanced class: it needs to get much harder, not easier!

Time for a feedback form (or six) me thinks.
